Baltimore, MD – A Baltimore police detective’s unmarked patrol vehicle was carjacked by three armed attackers on Tuesday night, according to police.

The on-duty detective was not in uniform at the time of the incident, but he was wearing his identification around his neck as well as a polo shirt embroidered with a badge, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison told WBAL.

The unnamed detective was at a business located in the 2800-block of Hanover Street at approximately 6:15 p.m. on May 3 when he was approached by three armed suspects, according to Commissioner Harrison.

The commissioner said it is unclear if the detective was inside or outside of his vehicle when the confrontation occurred, WBAL reported.

“At some point, our detective pulled out his weapon and discharged his weapon, but it is unknown if any of the individuals were struck by gunfire or any injuries,” he said.

The gunmen commandeered the detective’s unmarked car and sped off, WBAL reported.

They headed over the Hanover Street Bridge and ultimately got into a rollover crash near Nick’s Fish House in Port Covington, according to The Baltimore Sun.

BREAKING: 3 Deputies Shot By Woman In Kansas

Cowley County, KS – Three sheriff’s deputies were shot by a woman during a suspicious vehicle stop in Cowley County on Friday.

The incident occurred about five miles north of Winfield, near U.S. Highway 77 and 122nd Road, according to KSHB.

Cowley County Sheriff David Falletti told reporters at the scene that the deputies were responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle.

Sheriff Falletti said that when the deputies made contact with the woman driving the suspect vehicle, she opened fire and a gun battle ensued.

The sheriff said three deputies were shot.

He said deputies had returned fire and the suspect was fatally shot.

One of the wounded heroes was airlifted to a hospital in Wichita for treatment, according to Sheriff Falletti.

A second wounded deputy was transported via ambulance, according to KSHB.

Officials have not released any information about the third wounded hero’s condition but the sheriff’s department said they had also been transported to the hospital.

Video Shows Aftermath Of Baltimore Cop’s Shooting, ‘Don’t Call The Police’

The officer had been shot multiple times, according to WBFF.

Officials said investigators had determined the officer was on duty, sitting in a marked patrol vehicle when the gunman walked up to the car from behind and started shooting.

The video was shot from less than a block away from where the marked police car stopped when it crashed.
