Huntsville police officer dies after being shot in the line of duty; 2nd remains hospitalized, suspect charged

One of two Alabama police officers shot when they responded to a shooting call at a Huntsville apartment complex has died.

“This is a devastating loss for our department, the Huntsville community and the State of Alabama, HPD Chief Kirk Giles said. “We send our heartfelt condolences to the officer’s family as they mourn their loved one who made the ultimate sacrifice.”

“As we grieve with our fallen officer’s family, we have another officer fighting for his life,’’ the chief said. “Please keep all our officers and the entire department in your prayers.”

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall identified the slain policeman as Officer Garrett Crumby. The wounded officer has been identified as Officer Albert Morin.

“Tonight, our State grieves the death of another member of the law enforcement community—one who, when called upon, ran toward danger in aide of a female victim,” said Marshall said. “Huntsville Police Officer Garrett Crumby and fellow Officer Albert Morin were responding to an emergency domestic violence call for service when they were ambushed by an armed suspect.”

28-Year-Old Deceased Nashville Shooter Identified- ‘Audrey Hale” an Illustrator, Identifies as Transgender – Included Manifesto (PHOTOS)

The mass shooter who killed at least 6 people dead Nashville’s Covenant School Monday morning, including 3 children has been identified by police as Audrey Hale.

NBC News was the first to confirm the news.

The New York Post reported that Hale was a former student at Covenant School and online profile listed her as working in Commercial Illustration and Graphic Design.

Hale was shot dead by police at the elementary school at 10:57 AM.

The Gateway Pundit previously confirmed the mass shooter was a former student at the school.

The Biden regime immediately responded to the horrific shooting by demanding gun control, including a ban on so-called “assault weapons.”

Hale is a biological female who identifies as male and uses he/him pronouns. As DC_Draino notes, Hale has some disturbing artwork.

2 teens, 1 officer hospitalized after police shooting outside bingo hall on Refugee Road

Two teenagers and a Columbus police officer were taken to local hospitals in stable condition after a situation Saturday afternoon outside a bingo hall on the city’s Southeast Side that resulted in an officer shooting one of the teens as he fled the scene in a car.

Just before 2 p.m., the two teenagers were in a car in the parking lot of B33 Bingo, 3300 Refugee Road, when the vehicle hit a special-duty officer working the bingo hall and ran over a passenger who was outside the vehicle, Columbus police spokesperson Melanie Amato said.

Another special-duty officer fired a shot into the car, hitting the driver, Amato said. The car then went into Refugee Road and collided with another vehicle traveling west.

The two teenagers were arrested and taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and one of the officers was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Amato said. She said she didn’t know specifics about the injuries. A medic checked the driver and a passenger from the second car at the scene.

Amato said it remained unclear Saturday afternoon why the teens were in the parking lot and the circumstances that led to the incident.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation continues to investigate the police shooting.

A suspicious powder was sent to the Manhattan district attorney’s office in Lower Manhattan on Friday, court officials said.

The powder was found in an envelope — marked “Alvin” — delivered by the US Postal Service to the mailroom at 80 Centre St., court officials confirmed.

Police sources said the contained a threat to DA Alvin Bragg and the postmark showed it was sent from Florida.

The note reportedly read “I’m gonna kill you,” according to NBC.

NYPD officers were on the scene just after noon, and no injuries were reported, the official said.

The powder was deemed not hazardous about three hours later, according to the official.

The potentially harmful piece of mail comes as Bragg’s office has been presenting its case to a grand jury to possibly indict former President Donald Trump.

A pair of bomb threats were called into the courthouse earlier this week, delaying the proceedings once, although it was unclear if they were connected to Trump’s case.

The powder was found hours after Trump threatened Bragg with “death and destruction” if the former president is indicted in New York City over hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 during his first campaign for the White House

The DA has informed the office staff that the potential threat was immediately contained and that the NYPD Emergency Services Unit and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection determined there was no dangerous substance, a DA spokesperson said.

A Pasco police officer is home after being shot early Friday morning. The officer was taken home from Kadlec Regional Medical Center Friday afternoon about 1 p.m. The condition of the suspect who shot him hasn’t been released.
