Two suspects died and two police officers were injured after separate confrontations in Missouri.
In the eastern Missouri town of Troy on Thursday night, a man shot a Lincoln County deputy during a domestic disturbance investigation. The suspect was later found dead inside a shed.
In the Kansas City suburb of Gladstone, an officer shot a suspect around 3:30 a.m. Friday after the man’s vehicle allegedly dragged the officer. The suspect died at a hospital. The officer’s injuries were described as minor.
The shooting in Troy happened around 6:45 p.m., as deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call. Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Dallas Thompson said the suspect, Thomas Varvera Jr., 55, was outside the home when deputies arrived and shot one of the officers in the chest.
The deputy, whose name was not released, was wearing a protective vest. The deputy was hospitalized in stable condition.

An officer from the Chetek Police Department conducted a traffic stop around 3:38 p.m. and at some point gunfire was exchanged with the motorist, the state justice department said.
Two Wisconsin police officers were killed in a shooting during a traffic stop on Saturday, authorities said.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice said in a statement late Saturday that it was investigating the shooting in Cameron, Wisconsin.
An officer from the Chetek Police Department conducted a traffic stop around 3:38 p.m. and at some point gunfire was exchanged with the motorist, the state justice department said.
The Chetek officer and another officer from Cameron were pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect in the shooting was taken to a hospital and later died, the justice department said.
The names of the officers and the suspect were not immediately released.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss today of two officers. I am thinking of their families and the Chetek and Cameron Police Departments at this incredibly difficult time,” Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul said in a tweet late Saturday.
The Division of Criminal Investigation within the Wisconsin Department of Justice is leading the investigation and will submit a report to the Barron County district attorney when the investigation concludes, the statement said.
A New Jersey police officer was shot in Phillipsburg on Saturday afternoon, along with a civilian who was also wounded. Both victims are being treated at St. Luke’s Hospital.

A Texas soldier was found guilty of murder on Friday after Soros-backed District Attorney Jose Garza sought murder charges for an act of self defense during the 2020 George Floyd riots.
Sgt. Daniel Perry, an army soldier who shot and killed an armed BLM-Antifa protester in Austin in July 2020 was indicted on a murder charge in 2021.
Perry’s lawyer, Clint Broden, argued his client, who was driving Uber when rioters mobbed his car, was acting in self-defense after the BLM activist, Garrett Foster pointed a gun at him.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio testified on Monday in Washington, D.C. that the financier, Jho Low, told him that he wanted to donate $30 million to Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. So, the guy connected to China wanted to funnel money to get Obama elected? Gee, I wonder why the Chinese would want him (and Joe Biden) re-elected? “It was a casual conversation about what party he was in support of,” DiCaprio said, telling jurors that Low said he planned on giving “a significant donation” to the Democratic Party that was “somewhere to the tune of $20-30 million.” DiCaprio knew Low because he had partied with him and he helped finance one of his films.
Low had a ton of money — he’s also accused of having embezzled $4.5 billion from Malaysia’s state investment fund, but he’s reportedly hiding out in China so that Malaysia can’t get him.
