100 National Guard Activated After Minneapolis Mayor Requests Help Over Protests

When you start treating these “protesters” for what they truly are- Paid Marxist Domestic Terrorists who do not legally protest but illegally gather and destroy city blocks and attack innocents.

ENOUGH! These are not “Protests” no matter how many times your paid talking heads repeat the lie on TV. These are terrorists- treat them accordingly!

Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota National Guard activated 100 members of the 257th Military Police Company on Wednesday on the orders of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be deployed if Minneapolis law enforcement needs assistance.

Walz took the action on June 16 after two weeks of protests following the officer-involved fatal shooting of Winston “Boogie” Smith led to the death of a protester who was run down while blocking a roadway, KMSP reported.

Protests erupted after Smith was fatally shot by members of a U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) task force on June 3 who were trying to arrest him on a warrant for gun charges.

The task force, which was largely made up of local law enforcement but did not include any Minneapolis police officers, said the suspect was sitting in a parked car when officers tried to take him into custody, KSTP reported.

USMS said the fugitive ignored officers’ commands and drew a handgun, according to Reuters.

“During the incident, the subject, who was in a parked car, failed to comply and produced a handgun resulting in task force members firing upon the subject,” the official USMS statement read.

Smith was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, KSTP reported.

State investigators have said there is no bodycam, dashcam, or security camera video from the incident.

Court documents showed that Smith was a career criminal with 20 convictions for minor offenses, three drug-related convictions, and an aggravated robbery conviction for beating his former girlfriend’s face to a pulp, FOX News reported.

Despite his checkered past, activists have gathered every day for the two weeks since Smith died to protest his death.

On Sunday night, a female protester was killed when a man believed to be under the influence drove his SUV through a group of protesters blocking the intersection at West Lake Street and Girard Avenue South near where Smith was shot.

Witnesses said the driver of the SUV was going at a high rate of speed and appeared to accelerate before he slammed into the protesters, Minnesota Public Radio reported.

On Wednesday, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey asked the governor for help, FOX News reported.

Frey sent a letter to Walz on June 16 that asked that “the state make Minnesota National Guard assets available to assist in ensuring calm and order throughout the city, without immediately being deployed,” according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

It was at least the fifth time that the Minneapolis mayor has asked the governor to send in the National Guard since George Floyd died on May 25, 2020.

Hours after receiving the letter, Walz told reporters he “gave the Minnesota National Guard a warning order to start preparing to assist local law enforcement should they need help,” the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

The ultimate cleaner and lubricant

The city said that Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo has requested National Guardsmen be partnered with teams of law enforcement officers if they are deployed to the city again, FOX News reported.

Chief Arradondo requested that members of the National Guard be assigned to property protection details and traffic control, rather than getting involved in crowd control and taking on protesters.

Murdered Hero’s Widow Sues New Mexico DPS For Negligence She Says Caused His Death

They did not tell this officer anything about the operation. They let him stop this heavily armed and dangerous criminal alone, without backup. All to protect the identity of a CI. I hope she wins.

Santa Fe, NM – The widow of a New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officer who was executed on the side of the road after stopping a drug dealer in February has sued the New Mexico Department of Public Safety (DPS) over her husband’s murder.

Gabriella Jarrott, who filed her lawsuit in Santa Fe County 1st Judicial District Court on June 11, said DPS acted negligently by sending her husband, NMSP Officer Darian Jarrott, into a high-risk situation with no background information or backup officers on Feb. 4, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

Bodycam footage captured the moment when the suspect, 39-year-old Omar Felix Cueva, fatally shot 28-year-old Officer Jarrott in the head on the side of Interstate 10.

According to NMSP documents, Cueva had been the subject of a federal drug sting involving an undercover agent and a confidential informant shortly before his contact with Officer Jarrott, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) intended to have Cueva taken into custody during a traffic stop so he wouldn’t be tipped off about the setup, according to the paper.

According to the lawsuit, Officer Jarrott’s sergeant and two other NMSP officers were aware of the operation, but Officer Jarrott hadn’t been clued in regarding “how dangerous Cueva was known to be.”

“The reason he was killed was because Homeland Security Investigations valued the identity of a confidential informant more than the life of a state police officer,” Gabriella’s attorney, Sam Bregman, told the Albuquerque Journal. “This all could have been avoided.”

Officer Jarrott was “slaughtered in an ambush that never had to happen,” Bregman said, adding that he will also be filing a lawsuit against HSI.

The lawsuit also alleged that Officer Jarrott didn’t receive the full amount of training afforded to most other NMSP officers because he had previously enforced commercial vehicle violations for DPS and wasn’t required to go through the full law enforcement academy, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

“Jarrott had no substantial training in special tactics or the kind of high-risk operation that was being carried out with respect to Cueva,” the lawsuit alleged, adding that the department was aware of Officer Jarrott’s prior experience and knew he “did not have the proper training or experience to apprehend Cueva,” according to the paper.

Gabriella filed the lawsuit on her children’s behalf as the personal representative of her husband’s estate, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

She was pregnant with Officer Jarrott’s fourth child at the time of his murder, KTSM reported.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, to include the “costs of this action and any other relief the Court deems just and proper,” according to the filing.

The fatal attack occurred on Interstate 10 eastbound near mile marker 101 at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, the NMSP said in a press release.

“Homeland Security agents asked Officer Jarrott to pull over a car, when they knew the occupant of the vehicle was a known violent felon with semi-automatic weapons and large amount of drugs inside the vehicle,” Bregman alleged in a tort notice in April. “They did so without telling Officer Jarrott of any of this.”

Police said Cueva had a “violent criminal history,” as well as charges involving methamphetamine and cocaine, FOX News reported.

Bodycam and dashcam footage showed Officer Jarrott as he approached the passenger side of Cueva’s white Chevrolet pickup after pulling him over.

During the cordial conversation, Officer Jarrott explained he had stopped Cueva for a window tint violation, the video showed.

After chatting about his registration and insurance for a moment, the officer asked the driver to come back to his patrol vehicle with him so he could run his information.

“Hey real quick – you have a firearm on you?” Officer Jarrott asked Cueva as the suspect opened the driver’s side door. “You mind if I take it off you for my safety?”

Cueva seemed to agree and exited his pickup with a rifle in his hands, the video showed.

He then immediately turned and opened fire on Officer Jarrott over the bed of the pickup truck.

“Oh s—t!” the officer said, raising his hands to his head.

Cueva fired approximately 10 rounds at Officer Jarrott, hitting him repeatedly.

When the officer fell to the ground, the shooter fired one more round into the back of his head at point-blank range, FOX News reported.

Cueva then jumped back into his pickup and sped off, leaving Officer Jarrott in the ditch on the side of the interstate, the video showed.

A moment later, an HSI agent pulled up and found the murdered officer, the NMSP said in the press release.

After other NMSP officers spotted Cueva’s vehicle near mile marker 116, the suspect pulled over and opened fire on them, according to the press release.

The officers returned fire just before the suspect led them on a pursuit down Interstate 10.

As the chase closed in on mile marker 135 near Las Cruces, NMSP successfully used tire-deflating devices on Cueva’s vehicle.

The gunman continued his attempted escape as law enforcement officers from the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), the U.S. Border Patrol, (USBP), and the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) joined the pursuit, police said.

When the fleeing pickup approached mile marker 140, Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) Officer Adrian De La Garza stopped the driver using a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) maneuver.

Officer De La Garza’s bodycam captured the PIT maneuver and the immediate gun battle that followed.

Cueva came barreling out of the truck while shooting at the swarm of law enforcement officers in the vicinity, hitting Officer De La Garza in the arm, KFOX reported.

Bystander cell phone footage showed the gunman as he ran up to the front of Officer De La Garza’s patrol car with a gun pointed at the vehicle.

The officer fell backwards onto the pavement beside his patrol car and yelled out in pain before immediately scrambling to his feet and continuing to return fire, the bodycam video showed.

He then ran up on the suspect and fired multiple more rounds before reloading.

Cueva, who was wearing a ballistic vest, died from his wounds at the scene.

Officer De La Garza backed away from the fallen suspect as additional officers moved in.

“I’ve been shot,” he told a fellow officer a moment later.

Police rushed to him and helped him secure his duty weapon while they frantically rendered emergency aid, the video showed.

Officer De La Garza was airlifted to a trauma hospital.

He has since been released and is continuing to recover from his gunshot wound, KFOX reported.

Lone officer races to ‘shots fired’ call, gets jumped after he arrives as crowd laughs and films

A Jacksonville, Florida, police officer found himself terribly outnumbered by an angry mob yet never once pulled his gun or wavered from his duty. Where is the anti-police crowd now?

The fact is that their narrative — that all police officers are evil, bloodthirsty racists — doesn’t square with the truth in light of what happened to this brave officer.

According to WTLV-TV, the unidentified officer was responding to a call of shots fired in the Brooklyn section of the city Thursday when he came upon a crowd congregating near a parking garage

As he was attempting to apprehend one of the suspects, the man resisted arrest. When the officer persisted, a woman rushed in and knocked the officer to the ground.

Fraternal Order of Police President Steve Zona said the police officer was “fine” and that an arrest was made but things could have been so much worse.

TRENDING: ‘We’re sick of it’: Businesses refuse to pay taxes after police defunded

“Every police officer sees what’s going on around the country,” Zona told the news outlet.

“And you know, it’s not if it’s gonna happen, it’s when it’s gonna happen. And we just got a little taste of that where you’re alone by yourself trying to do good things for the community and it results in somebody attacking you, and now you’re surrounded,” he said.

“We’re just thankful nobody else in that crowd joined in and attacked our police officer, but we’re also disappointed that they didn’t help,” Zona said.

The incident was caught on video and posted to social media by an account called Duval Promo, though the sheriff’s office wouldn’t confirm the authenticity of the footage.

“Jacksonville Sheriff Officer got jumped last night & no one was shot,” the clip was captioned.

WARNING: The following video contains violence and vulgar language that some viewers may find offensive.

At the end of the video, a person can be heard saying, “They beat his a** and I recorded it,” followed by laughter.

While the officer had his rifle slung over his shoulder, he did not use any weapons in the scuffle even though it would have been appropriate in that scenario.

He was surrounded by many people who appeared to be egging on his attackers, or at least unwilling to do much to stop the assault.

“Whatever method I had to use — kept them off me until some backup arrived.”

“I would have put my back against the wall and kept them off of me whether it be with a taser, pepper spray,” Kim Varner, a former officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, told WTLV.

According to WJAX-TV, the officer was responding to the call alone because he “didn’t want to wait” while there was an active shooter or shots fired situation.

This officer found himself in the same situation as the majority of men and women in law enforcement who are out on the streets doing the best they can to protect, serve and survive.

Like his colleagues, he courageously ran toward danger and risked his own life and safety in order to keep the streets safe for others — and he probably considers it all in a day’s work.

The anti-police crowd ignores stories of heroism like this one because it doesn’t further the cause of defunding or disband police forces.

They insist that minorities are only safe when police are off the streets, though the reality is that cops are the only hope for stopping gun-toting thugs from prowling city streets and hunting citizens of all races.

This incident had a happy ending for the good guy and justice for at least one criminal, but there was no guarantee it would have gone that way.

Still, there was a police officer willing to put his life on the line to protect others — which won’t be the case if the anti-law enforcement left gets its way.

War on Police=The Death of NYC

When I was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s NYC had large sections that were rubble, burnt out wastelands. Years of Democrat policies allowed crime to increase, encouraged freebies over work, which eventually drove a lot of the working class out to the suburbs.

Then came some sanity. Somehow Republican Rudy Giuliani won multiple terms and the race to save NYC was on. It was transformed through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears but NYC rose to greatness again. Crime plummeted, jobs were created, and neighborhoods were ressurrected as property values soared.

Then Insanity returned like it has in most of our nation. The people of NYC elected a Marxist mayor. Bill DiBlasio worked with Marxists in Nicaragua to empower Communists like himself. NYC began to decline again, largely because of the lunatics in power’s war on police. Without security and safety nothing positive can happen. And they know this.

If they succeed, advise those you love to leave these areas for the South. BUT MAKE SURE THEY LEAVE THEIR LIBERAL BELIEFS IN THE PLACES THEY DESTROYED.

The fight in NYC is not over yet. Get involved.

Help Stop the Anti-Policing Bill – S.6615WE MUST ACT NOW!

In this current session of the NY State Senate, The Police Accountability Act (S.6615), sponsored by Attorney General Letitia James and State Senator Kevin Parker (21st Senate District, Brooklyn), is the latest attempt to limit our police officer’s powers to perform their sworn duty and protect the citizens, including retirees, of this state.

This bill will effectively limit if not eliminate a police officer’s use of force option to protect life, either their own or a civilian’s.  The bill will require that the officer must take time to consider ALL other less than lethal options before they resort to the force option, therefore putting lives in danger without any consideration, whether that be a police officer or civilian life.

The bill gives no consideration for the split-second decisions that an officer must make during a life and death situation.      The second guessing of our law enforcement must stop now before more people get injured or killed.  Previous changes to the law have led to an increase in crime and this new bill puts the criminal’s rights ahead of law enforcement and the citizens of this state and will only lead to more crime.

Please get the word out to your family, friends and co-workers who reside in New York State and have them sign the petition and let Albany know that we are tired of the lack of support for our law enforcement.

There are only a few days left in this current legislative session and we must act now before it is too late.       Below is the link and the QR Code to a website created by the Police Conference of New York which must be completed and sent to our state legislators immediately.
