Lone officer races to ‘shots fired’ call, gets jumped after he arrives as crowd laughs and films

A Jacksonville, Florida, police officer found himself terribly outnumbered by an angry mob yet never once pulled his gun or wavered from his duty. Where is the anti-police crowd now?

The fact is that their narrative — that all police officers are evil, bloodthirsty racists — doesn’t square with the truth in light of what happened to this brave officer.

According to WTLV-TV, the unidentified officer was responding to a call of shots fired in the Brooklyn section of the city Thursday when he came upon a crowd congregating near a parking garage

As he was attempting to apprehend one of the suspects, the man resisted arrest. When the officer persisted, a woman rushed in and knocked the officer to the ground.

Fraternal Order of Police President Steve Zona said the police officer was “fine” and that an arrest was made but things could have been so much worse.

“Every police officer sees what’s going on around the country,” Zona told the news outlet.

“And you know, it’s not if it’s gonna happen, it’s when it’s gonna happen. And we just got a little taste of that where you’re alone by yourself trying to do good things for the community and it results in somebody attacking you, and now you’re surrounded,” he said.

“We’re just thankful nobody else in that crowd joined in and attacked our police officer, but we’re also disappointed that they didn’t help,” Zona said.

The incident was caught on video and posted to social media by an account called Duval Promo, though the sheriff’s office wouldn’t confirm the authenticity of the footage.

“Jacksonville Sheriff Officer got jumped last night & no one was shot,” the clip was captioned.

WARNING: The following video contains violence and vulgar language that some viewers may find offensive.

At the end of the video, a person can be heard saying, “They beat his a** and I recorded it,” followed by laughter.

While the officer had his rifle slung over his shoulder, he did not use any weapons in the scuffle even though it would have been appropriate in that scenario.

He was surrounded by many people who appeared to be egging on his attackers, or at least unwilling to do much to stop the assault.

“Whatever method I had to use — kept them off me until some backup arrived.”

“I would have put my back against the wall and kept them off of me whether it be with a taser, pepper spray,” Kim Varner, a former officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, told WTLV.

According to WJAX-TV, the officer was responding to the call alone because he “didn’t want to wait” while there was an active shooter or shots fired situation.

This officer found himself in the same situation as the majority of men and women in law enforcement who are out on the streets doing the best they can to protect, serve and survive.

Like his colleagues, he courageously ran toward danger and risked his own life and safety in order to keep the streets safe for others — and he probably considers it all in a day’s work.

The anti-police crowd ignores stories of heroism like this one because it doesn’t further the cause of defunding or disband police forces.

They insist that minorities are only safe when police are off the streets, though the reality is that cops are the only hope for stopping gun-toting thugs from prowling city streets and hunting citizens of all races.

This incident had a happy ending for the good guy and justice for at least one criminal, but there was no guarantee it would have gone that way.

Still, there was a police officer willing to put his life on the line to protect others — which won’t be the case if the anti-law enforcement left gets its way.

War on Police=The Death of NYC

When I was growing up in the 70’s and 80’s NYC had large sections that were rubble, burnt out wastelands. Years of Democrat policies allowed crime to increase, encouraged freebies over work, which eventually drove a lot of the working class out to the suburbs.

Then came some sanity. Somehow Republican Rudy Giuliani won multiple terms and the race to save NYC was on. It was transformed through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears but NYC rose to greatness again. Crime plummeted, jobs were created, and neighborhoods were ressurrected as property values soared.

Then Insanity returned like it has in most of our nation. The people of NYC elected a Marxist mayor. Bill DiBlasio worked with Marxists in Nicaragua to empower Communists like himself. NYC began to decline again, largely because of the lunatics in power’s war on police. Without security and safety nothing positive can happen. And they know this.

If they succeed, advise those you love to leave these areas for the South. BUT MAKE SURE THEY LEAVE THEIR LIBERAL BELIEFS IN THE PLACES THEY DESTROYED.

The fight in NYC is not over yet. Get involved.

Help Stop the Anti-Policing Bill – S.6615WE MUST ACT NOW!

In this current session of the NY State Senate, The Police Accountability Act (S.6615), sponsored by Attorney General Letitia James and State Senator Kevin Parker (21st Senate District, Brooklyn), is the latest attempt to limit our police officer’s powers to perform their sworn duty and protect the citizens, including retirees, of this state.

This bill will effectively limit if not eliminate a police officer’s use of force option to protect life, either their own or a civilian’s.  The bill will require that the officer must take time to consider ALL other less than lethal options before they resort to the force option, therefore putting lives in danger without any consideration, whether that be a police officer or civilian life.

The bill gives no consideration for the split-second decisions that an officer must make during a life and death situation.      The second guessing of our law enforcement must stop now before more people get injured or killed.  Previous changes to the law have led to an increase in crime and this new bill puts the criminal’s rights ahead of law enforcement and the citizens of this state and will only lead to more crime.

Please get the word out to your family, friends and co-workers who reside in New York State and have them sign the petition and let Albany know that we are tired of the lack of support for our law enforcement.

There are only a few days left in this current legislative session and we must act now before it is too late.       Below is the link and the QR Code to a website created by the Police Conference of New York which must be completed and sent to our state legislators immediately.

Squatters Walk Free After Taking Over Empty Mansion, Police Powerless To Stop Them From Removing Property

Sammamish, WA – A group of squatters took over a multimillion-dollar home and filled it with guns and drugs, but police…

Sammamish, WA – A group of squatters took over a multimillion-dollar home and filled it with guns and drugs, but police say currently laws blocked them from being able to stop the squatters when they returned to the house to clear out property they claimed was theirs.

“Somehow these squatters who are living in this residence have at least as much rights as the homeowner. And that’s very difficult for any of us to understand,” Sammamish Police Chief Dan Pingrey told KIRO. “It could happen again somewhere else and this is where people in communities really need to be diligent.”

Chief Pingrey said the owners of the home live overseas and purchased the residence for their son to live in while he was attending college, The News Tribune reported.

Due to the pandemic, the son remained overseas with his parents, leaving the home empty.

In the interim, the owners lined up locals to routinely check on the residence in their stead.

But when someone went to the home on May 14, they stumbled upon a cache of guns, drugs, and cash, KIRO reported.

Sammamish police responded to the home and ended up seizing 12 firearms, over 15,000 fentanyl pills, bulletproof vests, heroin, steroids, methamphetamine, and more than $40,000 in cash, The News Tribune reported.

“The amount of guns, drugs, etcetera that were confiscated out of that place are not for personal use or for any good reason,” Chief Pingrey told KIRO.

As officers were inside the home analyzing how to proceed with the investigation, “an unlicensed motorcycle showed up with two people on it,” the chief explained.

Neighbors confirmed that the two individuals were the people who had broken into the home and had been staying there for about a month, KIRO reported.

Police arrested the suspects on burglary charges, but they were back out of jail again within days.

The squatters then gathered up a mob of people and headed back to the residence, KIRO reported.

“After they were out of jail, we had a large group trying to get back into the house,” Chief Pingrey confirmed. “No one was supposed to be there. The homeowners were not allowing anyone to stay there.”

The squatters demanded to be let in so they could gather up belongings they claimed belonged to them, The News Tribune reported.

Chief Pingrey said he spoke with local attorneys and prosecutors, only to learn that current laws tie law enforcement’s hands in such situations, according to KIRO.

Police had no choice but to conduct a “civil standby” while the group hauled items out of the home and into a U-Haul over the course of the next five hours.

“We were not allowed to go in there with them and had to allow them to take this property out,” Chief Pingrey said. “The person who had been illegally living there [was able] to come in and get what they stated was their property.”

A neighbor took photos of some of the items, including an ATM and a garage filled with appliances, KIRO reported.

“I totally recognize how frustrating it is for the neighborhood and it’s just as frustrating for us to be honest with you,” the chief told KIRO.

One of the caretakers changed the locks on the home after the mob cleared out, but that still failed to deter the persistent trespassers, The News Tribune reported.

On May 22, two women broke into the home to take more items from inside, Chief Pingrey said.

They were arrested on burglary charges and then released, The News Tribune reported.

Hero Down: Braintree Police K9 Kitt Killed In Ambush By Gunman

Braintree, MA – Braintree Police Department (BPD) K9 Kitt was killed in the line of duty on Friday as he ran into a wooded area to help locate and apprehend an armed fugitive.

The incident began after police received a report of a domestic disturbance near the Braintree Village apartments off Commercial Street and McCusker Drive shortly after 1 p.m., WCVB reported.

The suspect, described as a male in his 30s with warrants out for his arrest, took off into a nearby wooded area armed with at least two handguns, Braintree Police Chief Mark Dubois said during a joint press conference with Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey on Friday afternoon.

Responding officers had been told the suspect was armed.

The heavily-wooded area the suspect fled into is next to one of the most densely-populated areas of town and backs up to a commuter rail, Morrissey said.

Due to the potential risk of harm the gunman posed to innocent civilians, the officers headed into the woods after him.

The suspect, who had been out in the woods for about 45 minutes after the initial call was made, was lying in wait when police came in after him.

The officers were approximately 100 yards into the wooded area when the suspect ambushed them, Morrissey said.

Two officers were shot multiple times during the attack.

Braintree police K9 Kitt, a 12-year veteran of the department, was mortally wounded.

The gunman was also shot during the incident.

Additional officers arrived at the scene within minutes and carried the wounded officers and the wounded suspect out of the densely-wooded area.

The suspect was transported to Milton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The wounded officers were also rushed to area hospitals and taken in to surgery.

Both officers suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the attack, Chief Dubois confirmed.

“We are hoping for the best,” Morrissey said, regarding the officers’ odds of survival. “We think things are going well, but say a prayer.”

Chief Dubois said K9 Kitt was a beloved member of the department who served faithfully alongside his handler during the course of his 12 years of service.

“He was partnered with the same officer for that entire time,” the chief noted.

“That dog is incredible,” he said, calling his death “tragic.”

A police procession honoring K9 Kitt took place on Friday afternoon, NECN reported.
