Albuquerque Police Department (APD) officials said one officer was shot above his ballistic vest and has been listed in critical condition, KRQE reported.
A second officer was rushed into surgery with a gunshot wound to the arm.
A third officer was shot in the center of his ballistic vest, KRQE reported.
“The vest did save that officer’s life,” APD Chief Harold Medina told reporters during a press conference.

“We ask the community to pray with us for the officers’ health and that they all make it through this,” Chief Medina said.
