Albuquerque, NM – Three Albuquerque police officers were shot and a fourth was injured by shrapnel or glass while responding to a report of a robbery near a Dutch Bros coffee drive-thru on Thursday morning.
The attack occurred on Aug. 19 near Juan Tabo Boulevard Northeast and Constitution, KOB reported.

Albuquerque Police Department (APD) officials said one officer was shot above his ballistic vest and has been listed in critical condition, KRQE reported.
A second officer was rushed into surgery with a gunshot wound to the arm.
A third officer was shot in the center of his ballistic vest, KRQE reported.
“The vest did save that officer’s life,” APD Chief Harold Medina told reporters during a press conference.

“We ask the community to pray with us for the officers’ health and that they all make it through this,” Chief Medina said.
