New Mexico police officer, civilian killed in crash during chase for kidnapping suspect, authorities say

A New Mexico police officer and an uninvolved motorist were killed Wednesday after they crashed into the vehicle of a kidnapping suspect during a freeway chase in Santa Fe, according to authorities.

The crash, which occurred Wednesday morning on Interstate 25, involved two Santa Fe patrol units, the fleeing vehicle, and an uninvolved vehicle, the Santa Fe Police Department wrote in a news release.

“A Santa Fe Police Officer and an uninvolved motorist died in the crash,” the department said. “The names will not be released until next of kin is notified.”

Hero Down: Arkansas Department Of Corrections Sgt. Joshua Caudell Murdered After Tracking Down Gunman

Maumelle, AR – Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) Sergeant Joshua Caudell was fatally shot on Monday morning after he successfully tracked down a gunman who had been firing at Pulaski County sheriff’s deputies.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cody Burk said the incident began on Feb. 28 when deputies responded to a residence on Corvallis Road to conduct a welfare check on a woman who had reportedly not shown up for work, KTHV reported.

Lt. Burk said that when the deputies arrived at the home, somebody fired shots at them, KATV reported.

IMPD officer in ‘serious but stable’ condition, suspect injured in Fountain Square shootout

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department vehicles block the intersection of Prospect Street and State Avenue after an officer was shot in Fountain Square late Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022.

An Indianapolis police officer was in “serious but stable” condition and another man was critically wounded Sunday night after a shootout in Fountain Square, police said.

The officer, identified only as a “one-year officer who was in field training,” was taken to Eskenazi Hospital. Police said the man who fired on officers was in critical condition as of 1 a.m. Monday. He was later upgraded to serious condition, according to police.

Few details of the shooting were available early Monday morning, but IMPD Lt. Shane Foley told reporters the shooting occurred after officers responded to the 1600 block of Lexington Avenue on a report of a vehicle crash shortly after 10 p.m.

As police were en route to the crash, dispatchers told officers a man in a red jacket was exposing himself, Foley said. They also reported a man in a red car was intoxicated, “acting strange” and headed south on State Avenue.

Officers found a man wearing a red jacket in a red Buick in the 1600 block of Woodlawn Avenue, a street two blocks south of Lexington Avenue. When police approached, the man fled “within seconds.”

“The officers told the man: ‘Stop. Police,’” Foley said during a media briefing at the scene. “There was an exchange of gunfire between at least one officer and the suspect in the area of the alley north of 1600 Woodlawn Avenue.”

A SWAT team found the man shortly after 11 p.m. in the 900 block of Dawson Street, less than half a mile from where the shootout occurred. The man had been shot at least once, Foley told reporters, and police found a handgun next to him.

A New Message for Police: If You See Something, Say Something

So the NY Slimes, like the rest of the Fake News Marxist media, is still focused on police misconduct as Rome burns and chaos reigns in the street. Instead of focusing on the bloody catastrophic results of their defund police / anti-law and order agenda they yet again want the public to believe it is police misconduct that fuels criminality. More divide and conquer tactics. They sit silent on Soros funded DA’s releasing violent thugs back into the street to continue their rampages of violence and want you to focus on non-existent rampant abuse by police officers as the issue of our time.

No NY Slimes. We know you and your leftist cop hating agenda. A better topic for a real journalist to cover would be the handcuffing of police. No longer able to risk being proactive and stopping violence and crime, they must sit back and just document the carnage. If the offender is arrested after it matters little as Marxist DAs release them with little or no bail. Today’s police must see no evil and hear no evil, because of the legal, financial, and departmental punishments for making a mistake or “perceived” inappropriate action.

I can’t blame them. Your silence on the real issues of rising crime and chaos is evidence of your approval of the deadly progress of the agenda you and other leftists have been pushing for decades. A means to the end……..

Salinas Police Department Officer Jorge David Alvarado pulled over a car about 10:45 p.m. on Friday in the area of Market Street and Griffin Street and the traffic stop turned into a shootout, said Miguel Cabrera, a spokesperson for the police department.

At a news conference with several officials Saturday, Salinas Police Chief Roberto Filice said Alvarado’s actions during the confrontation helped them arrest the suspect. Filice gave no other details on the suspect or what led to the shootout.
