At least two police officers shot dead in horror gunfight after cars engulfed in flames
A male and female police officer have been killed after sustaining heavy gunfire at a rural property in Queensland, Australia. Three officers are believed to have been shot, one of whom is understood to have managed to escape after being hit in the leg and is being treated by paramedics. According to local reports, there may have been two gunmen wearing camouflage, one of whom opened fire on the police officers when they walked up the property’s driveway. The gunmen remain at large at the time of writing, according to local reports.

Police were called to the area at around 4.45pm local time before they were engaged in heavy gunfire.
An emergency situation has been declared for the town of Wieambilla about three hours west of Brisbane over the incident.
Residents in the area Chinchilla Tara Rd, Wieambilla Rd, Bennetts School Rd, and Mary Street have been urged to remain indoors while the situation is ongoing.
“Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to an ongoing incident at Wieambilla,” QLD police said in a statement. “Several police crews are in attendance at the property.”

Queensland Police were called to the scene at Wains Road in Wieambilla after neighbours reported hearing shots and seeing multiple cars on fire.
At least three emergency service helicopters responded to the incident, including two LifeFlight and one Rescue 500 aerial vehicle.
Specialist police also made their way to the scene following reports of heavy gunfire.
The deaths have not been confirmed by the Queensland police yet but the Western Downs regional council mayor, Paul McVeigh, described the deaths as “an absolute tragedy”.
He said: “It’s an absolute tragedy in our community. A couple of young police officers shot dead is an absolute tragedy.”
Ex-NFL running back Ryan Grant puts up bail for accused NYPD cop shooter Nelson Pizarro: sources
If you needed another reason to hate the National Felon League…..

An ex-con accused of shooting an NYPD detective during a Staten Island drug bust was sprung from jail Wednesday after former Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant helped secure bail, sources told The Post.
Grant was among those who kicked in the $500,000 cash needed to secure a $5 million bond to release Nelson Pizarro, putting up a large portion of the money, sources said.
The move outraged cops.
“The fact that an individual who shot an NYPD detective is walking the streets of our city is a slap in the face to every dedicated member of law enforcement,” said Paul DiGiacomo, president of the Detectives Endowment Association. “What’s more disgraceful is that former NFL player Ryan Grant funded the bail of an attempted cop-killer, drug dealer who pushes his deadly poison in our communities.”
DiGiacomo added, “It begs the question, would Mr. Grant spring this criminal if his family member was the victim or just when it’s a hero detective protecting the public?”
